Amanda Blok

Maid of Honor – Sister of the Bride

Amanda, sister of the bride, is a teacher at the Hiawatha Day School in Iowa.  Although three-hours apart, Jodi and Amanda are very close sisters and manage to stay in touch through daily phone calls…especially now that she is the MOH!  Amanda comes to Chicago to keep Jodi company when George takes a business trip every now and then…and the girls always manage to do some damage at Chicago Premium Outlets. Both Jodi and George are thrilled to have her as the Maid of Honor.

Jaime Pfeiffer

Bridesmaid – Sister of the Groom

Like the bride, Jaime is a HAWKEYE and Slater RA (same room that the toad once lived in). Jaime just finished her second year at Iowa as a nursing student. You’ll likely find Jaime competing in triathlons or tearing it up at the gym – we can’t wait to vacation with her in Punta Cana!

Brittany Butcher

Bridesmaid – Future Pfeiffer

Brittany also got engaged to a Pfeiffer on April 1, 2010. A middle school PE teacher….she is always working on her fitnass.When Brittany’s not melting, she is a fierce competitor and marathon runner. She’s also incredibly fun to play  games with – especially Catch Phrase!  Jodi has known Brittany since the beginning of GEODI, and looks forward to being her sister-in-law!

Heather Buchholz

Bridesmaid – Friend of the Bride

Jodi was Heather’s pledge mom in their business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, and the two have been friends ever since! Always up for a good time, Heather and Jodi have some great memories together… whether it be in Panama City for spring break or board games in the suburbs!  Heather is marrying Jason Graf (also in the wedding party) in June 2010, and we look forward to celebrating with another set of newlyweds!

Caitlyn McEvilly

Bridesmaid – Friend of the Bride

Caitlyn and Jodi are friends from college where they met in Delta Sigma Pi at the University of IOWA.  Catilyn works for Accenture, allowing for some great vent fests with Jodi over the stressful life (or lack thereof) of being a consultant. Caitlyn and Jodi have had many adventures together, especially tailgating at IOWA FOOTBALL GAMES, Shirt and Simple bar crawls, Kenny Chesney concerts, and Four Lakes tomfoolery.

Dana Kurek

Bridesmaid – Friend of the Bride

Jodi and Dana have been friends since freshman year in college when they were pledges in DSP at the University of IOWA.  Dana works for United Airlines, and recently moved to her rock star condo in the city.  Dana is a girls’ girl who shares Jodi’s love of country music, wild nights of dancing, celebrity spottings and some good wine.

Jake Pfeiffer

Best Man – Brother of the Groom

George met Jake on the day he was born. Impressed with his can-do attitude and witty sense of humor, George decided to befriend his younger brother and has never looked back. From being teammates on numerous hockey teams to battling all nighters as coworkers at AOI, Jake has been George’s closest ally and partner in crime for two and a half decades. George is honored to have him as his best man.

Jim Cowell

Groomsman – Friend of the Groom

George met Jim way back in grade school and they were classmates all the way up through high school. Future Problem Solvers (dorks), class project filmmakers, and teammates numerous times, their friendship has been long and rewarding. George is very excited to have Jim as a very important part of his wedding party.

Brad Hadamik

Groomsman – Friend of the Groom

Brad and George met in High School. They ran track and cross country together and have been close friends ever since. Brad’s sense of humor and interesting commentary is legendary. Brad hosted George and Jodi at his Florida home in Napels, which was an incredible experience. We can’t wait to share another beach vacation with Brad for our Punta Cana wedding.

Adam Figi

Groomsman – Friend of the Groom

George met the Figlet in high school and has been great friends with him since. Doctor Figi is leaving Illinois for an internship and residency so George is privileged to have him as part of his wedding party. Figi might not be able to come to Punta Cana (stupid hospital rules) but he’ll be making his grand entrance at the Chicago reception in Feb.

Louie Gaddini

Groomsman – Friend of the Groom

Louie and George met in high school as track teammates. Their friendship grew in college as hawkeyes at the University of Iowa. They then traveled to the other side of the world to study abroad together in Australia, jump out of planes and scale glaciers in New Zealand, and populate small grass huts in Fiji. They also did Acapulco – spring break style. George can’t wait to travel with Louie again – this time for his wedding!

Jason Graf

George met Jason in college at the University of Iowa. Engaged to one of Jodi’s best friends, Jason and George quickly became close friends. George is honored to stand in Jason’s wedding in June of 2010 and can’t wait to have both Heather and Jason as part of his wedding in January!

Pete ‘Give me some mo!’ Morici

Groomsman – Friend of the Groom

George and Mo have been buddies every since they were teammates in high school. They logged hundreds of running miles together and Pete played many roles in George’s first movie, ‘Home Slice; What Da Dill, Yo?’ Pete lives in Maryland and we can’t wait to spend a week with him in Punta Cana in Jan!
