Jodi and George met in the summer of 2005 at the University of Iowa during RA training. The two soon became ‘an item’ and shared their first year together babysitting drunk freshman. The bond they built in that first year was strong enough to endure a nearly two-year, long distance relationship when George graduated and moved back to Chicago. Jodi would fearlessly battle her lack of directional sense (pre-garmen era) and drive countless hours to visit George on the weekends. Treks back to Iowa City for George were always a special treat to see the city and the girl he loved.

Geodi (the couples tabloid name) enjoyed a ski trip to Colorado and a Caribbean cruise during that time and cemented their love of traveling together. When Jodi finished up her Accounting and Finance degrees she moved to Chicago and joined George at his first home in Four Lakes – Lisle. The addition of Gus Griffon made the small little condo a happy first home. In November of 2009 the couple travel to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and stayed at the Excellence Resort.

In the Spring of 2010 George proposed to Jodi on a return trip to Colorado and they soon after decided that a beach wedding would be the perfect way to celebrate their special day.

And that is just the beginning…
